Two more progress photos of the portrait commission I'm currently working on. The top photo was taken yesterday before I started painting, the second photo is at the end of my painting session yesterday. It's really starting to take shape now. I had to move the boy on the right's eye, I had them too close together before. The girl on the left is almost done. There is a little more shading to finish up and her hands still need work. I should finish the portrait by the end of this week!

On a different note, it's a glorious day to be an American! The American people have spoken and the Democrats are back in charge of the Congress!!! WOOHOO!! The Congressional race here in my district is still too close to call, only 1,303 votes difference with only 2% left to count. Go Patricia Madrid! I haven't been this politically happy in years! What took so long America??

WOW, your portrait looks great! What a big job to capture 4 faces. I can't wait to see the final painting!

Let us know if you and your sons go out and have a free hug campaign where you live!

Thanks Cynthia!

I will definitely let everyone know if/when we do the free hugs! I may even take the video camera!

This is really nice, the composition and the angles of the faces.

paula it would be so cool if you did do the free hugs and took a little video of it :)

I love seeing works in progress pictures! So cool to see how an artist gets from a blank white canvas to a finished product. It looks GREAT!! And yes indeed, a good day to be American!

You have to take your video camera if you stage your own Free Hugs Campaign!
